Training of Trainers (TOT) at the EU Level as a Quality Control Model
The overarching goal of the EU-DAP TOT Network or the Eudap Faculty is to ensure quality of efficacy tested school-based programmes based on a Comprehensive Social Influence (CSI) model. In such prevention programmes the interactive training of teachers is evidence-based and an indispensable component.
Those responsible for training teachers have to undergo training themselves in a ‘TOT’ model to become Master Trainers. Given the diversity of languages and cultures in the EU, the Master Trainers must rely on a standardized method, evidence-base and high quality.
The Faculty has grown out of the renowned EU-DAP Prevention Trail and works at an arm’s length with the EU-DAP Network.
Master Trainers at the EU Level
The Faculty creates a centrally managed European Network of professionals with the responsibility of updating and supervising the content and method of programme implementation. Within the EU-DAP Faculty, Master Trainers, one from each involved country, are responsible for the design and dissemination of the training that will be provided to teachers. The teachers ultimately deliver the programme to students.
